So… Cocoa sends her demo for the intro to “The Bomb Squad,” the ninth track of “Phase 3 – L.Y.R.I.C.A.L. Without Fear” and the final track to be recorded on the album. This intro sets the tone for the song and she definitely gets it in.
The idea is for Cocoa to start off the song singing free flow with slight instrumentation. In the background you have distant screaming and cars in the background and some rhythmic beeps that give the feeling of anxiety. The people in the background sound like they’re trying to find where she is.
From there, the famous first line of the original song, “Alone,” is sung by Cocoa, and leads right into DiMpLeZ’s sing-songy rap flow on a drums only track. You then hear the sampled high notes of Ann Wilson that lead right into K-Maculate’s first verse.
This is working out to be like a movie score! lol
Fun times!
Also, ADM and I have started working out the logistics behind doing a Prodigy style track (a la Fat of the Land) for his upcoming album, “Chamber Waves.” ADM is already five tracks into his new masterpiece since diving in head first back into music making. I’m VERY excited about this one as Prodigy’s “Breathe” is probably one of my most favorite hype songs ever. Top that with working in a completely new genre? SOLD!
Stay tuned for updates! 2010 is going to be a busy year!
